Modular Scripting

This integration allows you to have the script written once and then the Kualitee Test Management tool will manage the execution of the test case and you will be able to see whether the execution has passed or not.

A Detailed Guide of Modular Scripting – Kualitee

The following are the pre-requisites of the Modular Scripting:

  1. Kualitee Domain is Setup
  2. You are logged into your Kualitee Domain
  3. You have the project and the relative Build, Module, Requirements, Test Scenario and Test Cases created and have those test cases added into your execution cycle.
  4. You have attached your python script to your test case.
  5. You have setup the selenium server correctly

Once you are done with the pre-requisites we can move to the next steps:

Step 1) Navigate to Test Lab

Step 2) Sub-Navigate to Test Execution

Upon navigating to the test case execution page you will be listed all the test cases which are added into the cycle of your project and they will show whether the test cases have passed or not.

Step 3) Click the Execute Icon

Upon clicking the execute icon of a particular test case you will be able to see the specific details of the test case

The result will be as as follows:

Step 4) Click The Execute Button

Upon clicking the execute button the test case will be executed on the server.

You will know the execution has started one a new window will open up automatically. You will not be able to see the execution of the test case. Also do not close the new window it will close automatically

The success toast you will see will not represent whether the test case has passed or not. It represents that the test case has been started and it had been executed.

And now you can see the test case status has changed
